Green Fields Plot Owners Association president S. Chandrasekhar, one of the petitioners in the case against Dr Shankar Rao, also alleged that Mr Dayanand Rao and others were misleading the courts and officials and were also threatening officials to grab the land of the owners’ associations. The plot owners alleged that though the Supreme court has given orders in favour of regularisation of their plots, Dr Shankar Rao and his brother mislead the revenue officials.
The three associations, Sri Sail Residence Welfare Association, Amrutha Vani Residency Welfare Association and Green Fields Plot Owners Association are fighting the case against Dr Shankar Rao. The Neredmet police confirmed that the court had referred the case but said that they were yet to receive formal orders. A case will be booked against Dr Shankar Rao under Sections 120 b, 197, 420, 468, 471 and 506 IPC.
Mr Chandrasekhar said that the he had petitioned against the minister, his brother, Ms B. Padmavati, Mr E. Prabhavanit, Ms B. Sugunavathi and others for furnishing false information and for creating false documents. “They tried to grab the land using these false documents by misleading courts and the government,” he said. The Green Fields Colony is situated at Kanajiguda in Alwal. Unaware that the land belong to the state government, the plot owners purchased it and later fought a long-drawn legal battle in the Supreme Court, “Following this, the Supreme Court gave orders in our favour,” Mr Chandrasekhar said.
